Hey there, friends! I don’t like spending long hours in the kitchen so today I’m sharing our family favorite go to quick tea sandwich recipe! This is perfect for a quick lunch, Christmas party, last minute appetizer or to satisfy your cravings!

Ready to elevate your tea sandwich game to a whole new level? Buckle up, because I’ve got a recipe for you that’s going to be a family favorite from now on. You can change up the ingredients depending on what you have. The garlicky cream cheese is what makes these recipe bomb so as long as you have that and some protein they’ll taste amazing!

Cream Cheese Mayo!

Cream cheese mayo is our favorite to eat with chips or on sandwiches. It’s so easy to make!  Simply add heavy whipping cream to softened cream cheese and it turns it into such a delicious buttery consistency. A pinch of garlic it taste like garlic aioli.

I like to cut my cucumbers slanted to get nice big slices.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 1/2 stick cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping
  • 3 cloves crushed garlic
  • 2 small cucumbers sliced
  • 3 radishes sliced thinly
  • cheese slices ( optional )
  • 1 summer sausage sliced ( or other proteins - smoked salmon , Prosciutto, salami )
  • fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  • Prep the Cream Cheese: In a bowl, mix your garlic cream cheese with heavy whipped cream. It's best to have the cream cheese softened. Whip it good until it's smooth and spreadable. You're looking for a consistency that's rich yet airy.
Slice and Toast the Baguette: Cut your baguette into thin, elegant slices. Give them a light toast for some extra crunch. Remember, nobody likes a soggy sandwich.
Assemble the Sandwiches: Spread a generous layer of your garlic cream cheese mixture on each slice of baguette. Then, layer on your choice of sausage, a slice of cheese, and some crisp cucumber.
Add the Final Touches: Top each sandwich with a sprig of fresh dill, a few radish slices! That's it! So simple and oh so delicious!
Serve and Enjoy: Arrange your beautiful creations on a platter, make yourself a cup of your favorite tea, and enjoy your culinary masterpiece.

Notes

You can substitute the proteins for smoked salmon. If you're going to a party the smoked salmon sandwiches are always a hit and get eaten the quickest in my experience!

The radish with the dill gives it so much freshness!

That’s all for today’s recipe! Hope you enjoy the sandwiches with some tea! Merry Christmas!
