HOW TO MAKE A WOOD STAR
– 1″x2 ” – Gorilla Wood Glue – A scrap piece of 2″x4″ – Measuring tape + Pencil – clamp – masking tape – heavy duty stapler miter saw
The hardest part may seem like the cutting part. But these mites saw have settings the make it so easy
It's might seem scary and look like it'll get to close to your hands while holding but that's why I share how I made my own jig with a 2x4' . It's super easy come see
Now just cut all your star pieces at the same length. You should have angle at the top. I share more on the blog and have a video.
now sand all the edges clean so the glue adheres better.
Now glue and tape all the pieces together to create the inner corners of the stars. The tape hole them in place while the glue dries. CHECK OUT THE QUICK VIDEO
Next do the same for the out corners of the star. Add glue and tape.
For the backing I lay out a bunch of balsa wood and traced the star.
Because balsa wood is so thin I just used my utility knife to cut it out .
and wood glue to glue the back! That's it! super easy!
