DIY FAUX WOOD BURN

Arrow

What You'll Need

– light brown colored pencil – pencil – eraser – wood eggs

Step 1

I first started by adding some tape to the middle and tracing lightly around it with a pencil. I kept the line very mild and not too dark so I can trace it darker with my brown pencil.

Step 2

I then drew on designs continuing a pattern using the pencil very lightly.

Step 3

Next I used a colored pencil and traced all my designs with it.

Step 4

I then used an eraser to gently remove any pencil markings. The brown pencil won’t erase as easily. If it comes off in some areas it’s ok. I feel like it being lighter in some areas gave it more character.

I love how easy this DIY is. You can use this technique on so many other wood projects! If you want to seal in the colored pencil you can use matte mod podge.
