Lavender Infused Diy Rice bag
Much Needed Therapy
These rice bags are the bomb. Not just for the cold winter months to use as heat-packs but I’ve also seen them used as ice-packs and aromatherapy.Β How awesome is that a 3 in one DIY. SWEET!!! I remember these rice bags from when we were kids. I grew up in Alaska and I gotta tell ya -60 doesn’t feel really good. COLD FEET was all we had and us kids grew very found of our moms inventive little rice warmers during the winter months.
Last Christmas I made these for all my neighbors and they absolutely loved them. That’s when I found out that you could also use them as ice-packs because one of my neighbors were talking about it.Β You know it ain’t good unless your kids love it, and guess what?!!… π My little cuddle bug asks for one every night. π

- rice

- pins
It only takes me about 15 minutes to make one and I love how inexpensive they are.Β You could go with any cottonΒ fabric. I used linen. I would stay away from leather or the faker fabrics that have a lot of polyester because you don’t want it to melt in the microwave.
You will need a microwave to heat these packs. HAHA! We didn’t always have a microwave growing up. Mom went through eating healthy phases and she’d toss it out but, give it a few months and Dad would buy a new one. π lol.
I had so much fun making these. YES I even went out into our little forest and brought home some treasures. I love wild props π Mother nature definitely didn’t let me down π

Here’s a quick video tutorial.
