What You'll Need

We made a trip to the dollar tree and got a bunch of pots. ( 2 for $1) What a steal !! 😀 Love DOLLAR TREE. I know home depot had their smallest pots priced at 87 cents..Which isn’t so bad. We also purchased our potting mix from the dollar tree. We’ll see how that goes.. I didn’t know they even sold that kind of stuff their 😀 I will definitely give you guys updates with pictures in the next couple of weeks to show how our seedlings are sprouting. The most exciting part..hehe  (update— They all died. I don’t know if it was because of the cheap soil, but we didn’t get any herbs)

Step 1

We used regular craft paint from walmart and mixed our own pastel colors. We started off by painting all of the pots a solid color.

Step 2

Once that coat dried we painted a white line along the bottom of the pots.

Step 3

To make them more fun we added some art with a sharpie. (or you could use black paint)

Step 4

Then we made our own chalk board paint and painted little strips for the descriptions. To make the paint we used one spoon of COLD water and added Plaster of Paris until it was a pudding like consistency. Then we added 1/4 cup of acrylic black paint and mixed it well. (“plaster of paris ” is sold of homedopet. lowes, walmart)

Aren’t they just Gorgeous?? It’s such a cute kids craft.. 😀
